The main organizer of this project is MRC Mahallah Ruqayyah specifically Culture and Art Bureau and Entrepreneurs. This project, STINGLESS BEE HONEY RUQAYYAH hold on 28th November 2020 (Saturday). This project was focusing on IIUM students from Mahallah Ruqayyah. The nature of this programme is to share knowledge about stingless bee honey. Stingless honey has a lot of benefits. We can produce soap, foods and cosmestic products by using stingless honey. It can be a platform for residents of Mahallah Ruqayyah to know how they can gain income by stingless bee honey. It also built the strong bond of the residents and Ruqayyah’s community.
One of the objectives of this programme is to acknowledge our residents how the bees produce the honey. Other than that, to provide pure honey and shared its beneficial to others either our residents or other Mahallahs. Next, to share with residents that stingless bee honey has a lot of benefits such as can produces propolis, bee bread and cosmetics products. The last objective of this programme is to promote co-operation, harmony, brother-hood, love and affection among MRCs, fellows and residents of Mahallah Ruqayyah.
After having a good a discussion with KESATU IIUM, they pointed out that Ruqayyah is surrounded with variety types of trees that may become the sources for the bees. The food for stingless bees is resin that may can get from the trees in Mahallah surroundings. According of the existence project at Mahallah Sumayyah and Ameenah, we also take this opportunity to ensure this project to be success and beneficial to all.
