World Toilet Day is celebrated on November 19 every year around the world to raise awareness of the importance of clean toilet sanitation in human life as well as to make the public aware of clean toilet culture. Nearly 60 countries around the world celebrate World Toilet Day including Malaysia.

     Recognizing the importance of this World Toilet Day, the Office of Deputy Rector Student Development and Community Engagement (ODRSCE) through the Council of Principals of Mahallah (COP) organizes the IIUM World Toilet Day Celebration in year 2020.

This celebration is part of the Clean Toilet Campaign program that has been conducted Locally, Nationally and Globally.

      Sejahtera toilet hygiene competition is a program that organized by Mahallah Representative Committee of Mahallah Ruqayyah that focusing on enhancing the relationship among the residents of Mahallah Ruqayyah student besides to create awareness among IIUM students related to keep the toilet together clean. Moreover, this program was promoted to all residents including local and International students. In addition, students will be briefing in WhatsApp group due to covid-19. Hence, this program was targeted to give a long lasting impact to residents and Mahallah itself.

    Alhamdulillah, Toilet Sejahtera Hygiene competition of Mahallah Ruqayyah has successfully achieved its own objectives which are to create awareness among IIUM students related to keep the toilet together clean and to
provide a medium for skills and talent development among Mahallah residents. At the same time, to build a good rapport between MRC, fellows and the residents. The participants, MRC and fellows exchanged some thoughtful ideas in decorating and ideas on arts for the murals.
